Patient Participation Group

Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of volunteer patients who work together to help shape the future of the surgery and enhance the overall experience of being registered with us.

The main aim of the PPG is to help maximise the benefits patients gain from our services, ensuring that care, access, communication, and community support continue to develop in ways that genuinely improve patient wellbeing. The group focuses on constructive ideas, collaboration, and forward-thinking initiatives that benefit our whole patient population.

The PPG has recently been reformed and is enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to making meaningful improvements. We are keen to support new initiatives, promote positive change, and contribute to projects that improve both patient care and the health of our wider community.

Meetings

The PPG meets monthly via online meetings, held on the second Tuesday of every month.
This flexible format allows more patients to take part, regardless of work, health, or caring commitments.

Who can join?

Any registered patient is welcome to join the PPG.

We actively encourage involvement from patients of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences, and welcome those with long-term conditions or disabilities.

You do not need to attend every meeting to be involved — contributions can be made in different ways, and all levels of participation are valued.

Please note: the PPG is not a complaints or personal medical discussion forum. Its purpose is to focus on service development, improvement, and positive change.

Join our Patient Participation Group

If you would like to be involved, please complete a Patient Participation Group registration form.

By registering, you are agreeing to be contacted occasionally by email about meetings, updates, or opportunities to contribute.

Even if you are unsure how much time you can commit, we would still love to hear from you — every voice helps shape better services for our patients.

In addition to this, we want to spruce up that page to make it more informative. We would like to have a PPG news feed in itself where we could update it with recent information etc.

It would be nice if we could have scrolling slides where we could put posters and pictures of upcoming events and recent events etc. We would also like a section that outlines a quarterly goals part. And finally, we would like to have a part to outline information for ongoing initiatives that patients can see.
